I have learned that I do not always have to understand the purpose while I am standing in the middle of the pain. I do not have to figure out tomorrow while I am still trying to make it through today. I can bring the questions, the hope, the uncertainty, and my tired self to God just as I am.

There was a time while caring for my son when everything felt like too much. Driving home in tears, I heard the Lord say, “Do not be dismayed.” That word led me to Isaiah 41:10 and reminded me that God does not ask us to carry every burden in our own strength. He promises to be with us, help us, and hold us steady. If life feels heavy today, this is for you. you are and trust that God will meet you there.

Grief changed the way I prayed. I didn’t always have the right words, and sometimes all I could say was, “Lord, help me.” Pray Through It was created from that place: learning to bring God the grief, questions, fear, and even the silence. You don’t have to pray perfectly. Just start where you are and trust that God will meet you there.
